Custom Crimping Die for Multi-Wire Connectors

A quick look inside KMYD's tooling shop: six stripped conductors loaded into a multi-wire connector, aligned by a fixture, then terminated in a single press stroke by a custom multi-cavity die. No hand crimping, no one-termination-at-a-time — just the same result on every connector.

What you are watching

• Custom multi-cavity die — machined to the connector's exact cavity pitch, so every termination lands at once.
• Pneumatic press — a controlled, repeatable stroke instead of operator-dependent hand force.
• Fixture — holds the wire bundle in position before the die comes down.

How the cycle works

1. Load the stripped conductors into the connector block.
2. The fixture aligns and holds the bundle.
3. The press drives the die home in one stroke.
4. Release, reload, repeat.
