This clip takes you inside the lathe at KMYD, where a precision connector body is CNC turned from bar stock into a finished part. You'll see the tool engaging the workpiece under flood coolant, chips breaking cleanly, and the part coming off the machine ready for inspection — the same sequence we run on part 1 and part 10,000.

Inside the cut

Why tolerance control decides connector performance

A connector is a fit problem before it is anything else. A few microns of drift on a bore, a shoulder, or a thread flank is the difference between a connector that seats, seals, and holds torque — and one that leaks, loosens, or fails in the field. That is why the process matters more than the machine: the same program, the same tooling, the same inspection points, every run.

At KMYD we machine the feature, measure it, and log it. When a dimension trends, we correct the offset before the next part is cut instead of sorting bad parts out afterwards.
