PC Series Circular Connector Types and Specifications
Colombia M Series Connector Custom Engineering Case
A customer in Colombia needed M series connectors but could not determine the correct size and model for their application. The customer had a general requirement for M8 or M12 connectors but lacked detailed specifications or experience in selecting the most suitable configuration.
Challenge
The main challenges in this project were:
- The customer was unsure about the correct M series connector size (M8 or M12)
- No clear technical drawings or dimensional constraints were initially provided
- The physical installation space was limited
- The customer felt that the M8 connector size was acceptable, but the overall length was too long for their application
- Without precise structural information, it was difficult to confirm a standard model that would fully meet the installation requirements
Our Solution
To help the customer make a more accurate decision, we first provided detailed dimensional drawings of both M8 and M12 connectors, allowing the customer to clearly compare size, structure, and installation differences.
Based on this comparison, the customer confirmed that the M8 connector was closer to their requirements in terms of diameter and general size, but the overall length still did not fully meet their space limitations.
To further refine the solution, we asked the customer for more detailed application information and requested a 3D model of the installation environment. This allowed our engineering team to better understand the structural constraints and evaluate potential optimization options.
Custom Engineering Evaluation
After receiving the application details, our engineering team began evaluating a possible customized solution. The goal was to:

- Optimize connector length to fit limited installation space
- Maintain full electrical and mechanical performance
- Ensure compatibility with the existing system structure
- Provide a reliable and manufacturable design solution
We worked closely with the customer to analyze feasibility and define the next steps for a customized connector configuration.
Conclusion
This case demonstrates our ability not only to supply standard M series connectors such as M8 and M12, but also to provide engineering support when standard products do not fully meet installation requirements.

By combining dimensional guidance, technical communication, and custom design evaluation, we help customers move from uncertain selection to a clear and workable solution.
